LITTLE SHAVERS PROGRAM
1 Year Olds
One year olds are encouraged to use their senses to learn about and make sense of their world. The children are exposed to a nice mix of activities during the day to teach different skills, such as singing, dancing, and storytelling.
Language development and listening skills are encouraged through verbal and visual stimulation of color, shapes, numbers, animals, environment, building, and more through music, communication and sensory.
2 Year Olds Program
The two year old program offers "Many of the instructional projects are a good mix of left- and right-brain activities, usually made of simple objects like blocks or beans or vinyl letters for creativity, but presented in an organized, structured, and methodical way,".
The curriculum incorporates age appropriate math, literacy, science, art, music and social science concepts. The children can benefit from the chanceto socialize with other children.
Pre K 3 Program
Young children learn through play and creative activity, so children building blocks and train tracks aren't just entertaining; they're teaching problem solving and physics. A 3 years old class is also a time for developing good learning habits and positive self-esteem.
Our curriculum incorporates age appropriate math, literacy, science, art, music and social science. Children will be able to explore outdoors where physical fitness, health and nutrition, are also encouraged.
Pre-K 4 and VPK
Our advanced curriculum incorporates age appropriate math, literacy, science, art, music and social science. The curriculum is based on phonetic and numerical awareness.
Children will learn to recognize and name all the letters, they will recognize their own first name and be able to print it, along with other meaningful family words like Mom, Dad, and love. Children will also develop a connection between letters and sounds and know some of the sounds that letters make.
The classrooms have learning centers which the children are able to explore, play and learn. Teachers supplement these experiences with small and large group experiences that will allow for them to be successful academically and socially.
Pre K-4 students who do not meet the September cut off are exposed and engaged in the same curriculum.These program components works together to ensure children are entirely prepared for success in Kindergarten and beyond. The students benefit from the familiar learning environment and experiencing with small and large group activities make huge learning progress.
